About Ceylon Shen Tours
A small Sri Lankan company running private tours since 2022.
Our Story
Ceylon Shen Tours was started in 2022 by Shashen Bhanuka. The first tour he ran was a ten-day trip around the island, which is still one of our most popular routes: the Complete Sri Lanka Tour.
Shashen still runs the company day to day. He plans the routes, answers WhatsApp messages and guides many of the tours himself. When he isn't driving, one of the guides below will be — all of them are Sri Lankan, speak English and have at least five years of experience.
We're based in Minuwangoda, close to Bandaranaike International Airport, so airport pickups are easy at any hour. Since 2022 we have hosted more than 100 travellers from Europe, Australia and North America.
How we work
- One group per vehicle. You never share with strangers.
- We agree the route before you arrive and change it whenever you like.
- One per-day price for vehicle and guide, agreed before you travel.
- Use the hotels we suggest, or book your own and we'll plan around them.

Every tour is private. You never share the vehicle with other travellers, and you set the pace.

Want an extra beach day or to skip a temple? Tell your guide and we adjust the route as we go.
